Malaria Treatment and Prevention (MTP) Program

Our Malaria Treatment and Prevention program provides education and resources about malaria during our sickle cell and maternal health outreach events. According to the World Health Organization, there were 228 million malaria cases resulting in 405,000 deaths worldwide in 2018 alone. Sickle cell patients and expecting mothers especially those from impoverished communities are at a considerably higher risk of contracting and dying from severe malaria infections. For this reasons the NOB Malaria Treatment and Prevention Program provides malaria educational resources, mosquito nets and anti malaria prophylaxis to appropriate beneficiaries enrolled in our programs
